Siblings๐Ÿ‘ฏ

Siblings – (n.) each of two or more children or offspring having one or both parents in common; a brother or sister.

But, What actually is a sibling!?๐Ÿ˜ถ

Maybe I’m the perfect one who can answer this, as I’ve two siblings: both brother and sister & younger and elder. So, I’m actually a walking encyclopedia of Siblings. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I’ve two siblings: an elder sister and a younger brother. So, I’m stuck in the middle. But lemme tell you, I’ve got the perfect rank than these two. Why? That’s becauseย  I have an elder sister to whom I can share all my (girly) problems. And a younger brother who’s my partner in crime! ๐Ÿ˜›

If you’re thinking that having a sibling is like love and affection.. Then sorry dear, you’re wrong, coz it’s literally all about rivalry and ultimate craziness. ๐Ÿ˜

When you have a sibling younger than you, but smarter๐Ÿ˜… Then, there’s always a competition, not just for grades, but for everything. Everything turns into a battlefield with two mighty warriors fighting for their….everything๐Ÿ˜ . And this battle is never-ending.๐Ÿ˜Œ

Situations get worse when parents favour one other the another๐Ÿ‘ฟ. Hence, the battle gets more fierce. Now, one mighty warrior, completely broken from inside, fights with a large army, all alone, but yet not willing to be defeated.๐Ÿ˜ค

๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฃ

Usually, when two siblings fight, they don’t talk to each other for hours or days. But in my case, it is pretty different๐Ÿ˜. We are three๐Ÿ‘ช, therefore, if I fight with my brother, he’ll go and team up with my sister. And I’m all lonely and helpless๐Ÿ˜ฉ and those two will just enjoy to the fullest๐Ÿ˜ฒ. And, of course, I’ll feel jealous๐Ÿ˜ค and will wait for the very little spark to ignite a fire between the two.๐Ÿ˜ˆ

๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

I’ve my sis, with whom I can share all my girly secrets (and dresses)๐Ÿ˜‹. But my poor bro.. As my father is usually in his office and spends very less time at home, therefore my brother has to live with three ladies (mom, sis n me) and hear all our gossips.๐Ÿ˜… I feel very pity for him and I constantly try to be his bro๐Ÿ˜Ž. That’s why he’s very close to me as I do my best to be his partner in crime.

Tbh we’ve done many undercover missions (๐Ÿ˜…) like stealing cheese from the fridge to unlocking my sister’s mobile phone (to read her chats), and soo much more๐Ÿ˜….

๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

There’s something very dangerous ’bout these creatures known as siblings๐Ÿ˜“. They’re something wilder than wild animals (especially when they’re kids). At first, they’ll attract you with their cuteness๐Ÿ‘ผ. And if once, you’re tricked by it, then only God can save you from their talents of Scratching and Biting. And if that’s not enough, they’ll use their ultimate weapon of Nonstop Crying ๐Ÿ˜ญ.. And the rest is too painful to explain๐Ÿ˜ฒ. So, just leave it..๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“

The synonym of siblings can be blackmailers. I’m lucky to have two blackmailers๐Ÿ˜Œ. My sis is not that expert one. But lemme clear it, there’s no goodness in her which reduces her frequency of blackmailing. In fact, there’s just a logic. What logic? She knows, that if she just squeaks even one of my (only-shared-to-her) secret, I’ll too open up a bunch of her (only-shared-to-me) secrets๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ’ฃ. Hence, there’s no use of blackmailing๐Ÿ˜Œ

But unfortunately, my bro isn’t that easy๐Ÿ˜. He, of course, has no that kinda secrets. But that mouse in the avatar of my bro๐Ÿญ, can fit (hide) anywhere and peep my mobile phone password and can overhear all my conversations๐Ÿ˜ฉ. Therefore, he’s the most dangerous and a perfect blackmailer๐Ÿ˜–.

Lemme share an incident. I don’t know how he came to know about one of my classmate’s name (of course a boy). And one day, while a family (big Indian family๐Ÿ‘ช๐Ÿ‘ญ๐Ÿ‘ฌ๐Ÿ‘ซ๐Ÿ‘ช๐Ÿ‘ซ) gathering, he and I had some sort of fight, so, as to take a revenge he told my cousin that, I’ve got a boyfriend named … (my classmate’s name) ..and we study in the same class๐Ÿ˜. And this news had spread like a fire among all my cousins and everyone began to ask me, that who is he!? I couldn’t prove my innocence, as they all asked that, why has your bro took only one name out of all boys, and that too with such confidence!? ๐Ÿ˜จ

๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

I don’t know why siblings look cuter in school๐Ÿ˜. Even if we had a fight and we’re not talking to each other, but whenever I see them at school, I feel like hugging them and introduce them to my entire class. Idk why it happens?๐Ÿ˜•

๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Siblings are born to disagree with you. Why? Lemme explain. Even when I’m wearing my most stylish dress and with the best looks. My sister would always say that I look like a monkey ๐Ÿต. And, when I tell her, that I got the highest marks in my class. She says, “Ya, I know that this teacher is really very partial and always favours the weak students so that they improve…”๐Ÿ˜ณ And this disagreement is in everything.. EVERYTHING!๐Ÿ˜ฌ

๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Elder Siblings may seem innocent, but they’re a bullier๐Ÿ˜ .

When I was a kid, my sis used to tell me, that my parents bought me from a shop ๐Ÿ˜ถ. And also, that she’s the one who chose me among several other pretty kids (and my parents were choosing another kid over me๐Ÿ˜จ)! I used to feel very grateful to her๐Ÿ˜‡until when I actually came to know how kids are born from the mother when my bro was in her womb. I was really surprised, literally SHOCKED๐Ÿ˜ต, and couldn’t trust my sister anymore. She was earlier a Goddess๐Ÿ‘ฐ for me, but now a DEVIL๐Ÿ‘ฟ….

Whenever we used to play teacherteacher, I used to be a student and her, a teacher as always๐Ÿ˜. So, I once protested her and finally became a teacher, and she was the Principal.๐Ÿ˜

Well, these painful experiences made me always stand against bullying๐Ÿ˜–. And I always respected my bro’s opinions equally and that’s why we are really too good togetherโ˜บ. And that’s why my mother always trusts to leave my bro with me rather than leaving him with my sis.๐Ÿ˜‹

๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

We have a lot of fights, and we make fun of each other every time๐Ÿ˜ˆ. But if, anyone else (even our friends) squeak a single word against anyone of us. We are ready to literally attack that person! ๐Ÿ‘ฟ๐Ÿ˜ก

We have a bitter-sweet relation๐Ÿ˜Œ, but when our mother scolds anyone of the trio, the other two defend.๐Ÿ˜…

Sometimes, mum becomes quiet (which is very rare), if not that, she scolds the trio altogether!๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ˜…

๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

Having siblings is so much fun, only when you value them๐Ÿ˜‡. But, fights with siblings is a part of daily routine..๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‰

Hope you enjoyed.๐Ÿ˜‡

  1. My goodness, Avni, you are writing the story of my life here. Just a few differences though, I have two sisters and FOUR brothers with only one brother older than me. He was the devil in disguise when we were young, always leading me into trouble. I was so enamored by him that I actually thought big brothers can do no wrong. That’s a laugh! He did wrong but he got away with it while I got into trouble. He once burned a barn down while showing me how the blocks our house was built of were fire proof. They were but the straw he stuffed down in them were NOT! And to make it worse, the barn belonged to our Uncle, not our own.
Keep on writing these stories. I think you are living my old childhood, only in a different country. And thanks for following me.

    1. Oh Really.. Even, I too believed that elder brothers are veey matured, protective and concerned๐Ÿ˜€.. But maybe I’m wrong..๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Yeah, even if we live in different countries or speak different languages, after all we are humans and this makes us one.. Maybe that’s why we all feel very similar when we talk about our experiences..๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ™ (this is what my highly diverse India has taught me).. Thanks๐Ÿ˜Š

Ohh… That means little brothers are mainly blackmailers.. ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜‚ Your bro must be lucky to have an elder sis so nice..๐Ÿ˜€ as this blackmailing trick cannot work on my sis..๐Ÿ˜

      1. Our Dad was very strict and I mainly complied out of fear.๐Ÿ˜‚ However, looking back now I realise that was very wicked of him ๐Ÿ˜‚ taking advantage like that …

  3. I enjoyed the truth of this. I am the youngest of 5. Siblings, yes but no one behind me. I often felt like I was dragged behind. An afterthought. Today however, we are all friends and there for each other in heart (not in physical proximity). I wouldn’t trade them for anything.

    1. I’m sooo happy that you enjoyed๐Ÿ˜‡. Ohk I can understand the problems of being the youngest one as I observe my brother. Being youngest sometimes is troublesome. But its a fact that parents and elders usually love the youngest one the most. Ya, we me and my sis too had a lot of misunderstandings as kids, but now as teens, we’re the best buddies. I pray to God that all 5 of you remain happy and close to each other forever.. ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡

    1. Good evening,
Yes, I totally agree with you.. Even my siblings too love and care for me, some of what is shown in the last lines. But actually, I wrote this blog to make people remember their childhood. No matter how caring a bro or sis is, those bitter-sweet incidents make this beautiful relationship quite different from other relationships. And remembering those moments always bring smile to our face. We always cherish those moments and they are always close to our heart. And no matter how much siblings love each other, there are some bittersweet moments and if not thats too great.
I wrote different situations which occur when we live with siblings and as you can see the comments. People are remembering those moments and are missing them. Even if only for a minute, but we stopped to remember those lovely moments, which we usually forget to cherish. You can yourself see the comments. I totally agree to you. My aunt’s son have never fought with each other in there lives. They are exceptional, and your comment reminds me of them..
      Thank you.
      Best wishes

    1. Okay… So we can really understand each other’s situation well.. Oh yesss.. It was such an imp. point..How can I forget it!? It always happens with me.. That’s why whenever they fight, I say “You idiot stop fighting!” And when my sister looks at me with anger, I say that I’m saying to him. And she turns to continue her fight and my bro looks at me, so I wink and stand behind my sis acting like her. So my bro starts thinking that I’m with his side.๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ But actually I’m with no one.

In our games we used to be undercover agents and do treasure hunts, and we use to name ourselves as tv characters and then act like them.. That trick was used by my mother too, to make us each spinach by turning us into Popeye, the sailor man..๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ˜›

Okh.. I see.. I’m the middle one, but everyone thinks that I’m the eldest. My elder sis’s a bit childish whereas I’m more serious than her. And I’m more like an advisor to her. So I think I’ve a double role and can somewhat figure out how the eldest one feels and experience๐Ÿ˜…
      Yes, sure..๐Ÿ˜‡
